Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 series, with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra measuring just 5.1 millimeters thick, the thinnest Galaxy Tab the company has produced to date.
Despite its slim profile, the Tab S12 Ultra comes with an 11,600mAh battery and is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor. It weighs 692 grams for the Wi-Fi model and 695 grams for the 5G version.
Samsung said the processor delivers up to 19% faster CPU performance, 17% improved GPU performance and 61% faster NPU processing compared with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. A redesigned 3D vapor chamber is also used to dissipate heat during demanding tasks such as video editing and graphics work.
The tablet has a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2,960 x 1,848 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung lists peak brightness at 1,600 nits, with a Vision Booster feature that adjusts brightness according to surrounding light.
The Tab S12 Ultra is rated for up to 23 hours of battery life, while the smaller Galaxy Tab S12+ is rated for up to 21 hours. Both support 45W wired charging, with Samsung claiming a full charge takes about 95 minutes under its testing conditions.
Both models also carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and come with an S Pen. The Ultra supports up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, with microSD expansion of up to 2TB.

In the Philippines, every Galaxy Tab S12 purchase comes with a productivity bundle that includes a Book Cover Keyboard Slim, S Pen and 45W travel adapter, valued at up to Php 18,279.
Samsung is also offering third-party software benefits worth up to Php 24,161, including a one-year Microsoft 365 subscription, six months of Google AI Pro and four months of Adobe Photoshop.
In the Philippines, the Galaxy Tab S12 series will be available for pre-order exclusively through Shopee from Oct. 9 to 20. It will launch online on Oct. 21 and in Samsung Experience and authorized stores on Oct. 28.
