Zoho expands AI offerings as Philippines takes bigger role in ASEAN’s AI agenda

Software company Zoho is bringing its latest agentic artificial intelligence (AI) tools to the Philippines as businesses seek practical ways to adopt AI amid growing demand for integrated, AI-ready enterprise software.

The company’s new AI strategy centers on Zia Agents, autonomous digital agents that can assist businesses in areas such as sales, customer support, human resources, and information technology.

The platform includes pre-built agents for account management, sales development, human resources, customer support and IT help desk functions, as well as Zia Agent Studio, a no-code and low-code tool that allows businesses to build customized AI agents, and an Agent Marketplace where organizations can publish and deploy specialized agents.

The Philippines has been pushing to grow the digital economy to 12% of gross domestic product and has placed AI-powered growth among micro, small and medium enterprises as a Priority Economic Deliverable, key financial or trade goal set by the leading country of a group like ASEAN, during its 2026 chairmanship.

Zoho said businesses are increasingly looking for practical ways to deploy AI but are often hampered by fragmented technology systems.

According to the company’s State of Workforce Password Security 2026 report, 64% of Asia-Pacific businesses use more than 15 applications, while 73% lack complete visibility over workforce identity and access.

In a one-on-one interview, Gibu Mathew, managing director of Zoho Asia-Pacific, said integrated platforms could help businesses use AI to analyze information across different systems and generate actionable insights.

Businesses can bring data from multiple systems into Zoho Analytics, where the company’s large language models can analyze the information, generate insights and send notifications to users. Organizations can also use AI to analyze documents and share information across teams, according to Mathew.

Central to the company’s strategy for small and medium enterprises is Zoho One, its flagship all-in-one business software platform that brings together more than 50 business applications in a single ecosystem.

The platform provides SMEs with tools such as email, online meetings, collaboration software, office applications and customer relationship management systems without having to manage multiple vendors.

Mathew described Zoho One as a “buffet for software” that allows employees to experiment with new tools and contribute new ideas across the organization.

Artificial intelligence is also helping decentralize innovation by enabling more employees to create value within their organizations, he added.

Zoho recorded 21% year-on-year revenue growth in the Philippines in 2025 and surpassed one million paying customers globally earlier this year, reflecting growing demand for AI-ready software platforms.
