Internet services provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. (Converge) is set to launch BizFriend Rewards, a loyalty and engagement program designed to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), on June 8, coinciding with the celebration of National Best Friends’ Day.

During the media presentation on Friday, Dindo Marzan, senior vice president and head of the SME Group at Converge, welcomed guests in his explorer outfit and introduced three pillars that address different dimensions of the MSME journey: Choice, Chill, and Circle.

“MSMEs are at the heart of our growth story, and BizFriend Rewards reflects how we value them beyond transactions,” said Marzan. “We want our customers to feel that they are not just subscribers, but partners we grow with.”

    BizFriend Choice

BizFriend Choice offers customers flexibility through a curated selection of perks and freebies when they renew their contracts or upgrade their plans. This approach reinforces loyalty by giving businesses options that directly add value to their operations.

    BizFriend Chill

BizFriend Chill, on the other hand, builds connections through shared experiences. It focuses on creating memorable moments that go beyond traditional customer engagement. From private screenings and concerts to curated dining and seasonal events, the program fosters stronger connections between Converge and its MSME base.

    BizFriend Circle

Finally, BizFriend Circle drives growth through community and visibility, serving as a platform for business development. It offers workshops, seminars, and opportunities for MSMEs to gain exposure through trade events and digital promotions, with the goal of helping entrepreneurs expand their reach and capabilities.

    Brand Partners

Among the brand partners Converge tapped are cloud-based graphic design platform Canva and communications app Viber. Canva will provide a 1-month premium subscription to Canva Pro while Viber will give a three-month free trial of Viber Plus to Converge’s MSME clients.

Other merchant and rewards partners include IT hardware and software solutions provider ASUS Business, logistics and transportation company 2GO Group Inc., rewards solutions companies Zap and TLC Worldwide, hospitality and entertainment hub Newport World Resorts, online job board JobStreet, and insurance company AXA.

With BizFriend Rewards, Converge aims to redefine customer engagement in the MSME connectivity space by delivering a holistic program that combines exclusive perks, lifestyle experiences, and business empowerment.

Marzan told PhilSTAR Tech that the mechanics will be made public at the launch, with key account specialists reaching out to small businesses, and key account managers coordinating with medium and emerging enterprises

To cap the evening, Carlo Ople, who held a corporate job for Converge’s competition, PLDT/Smart before becoming a full-time entrepreneur at Unbox Group of Companies, gave a short pep talk for MSME clients present at the event.

“It’s having the courage to fail and accepting the fact that you will make mistakes along the way; and learning from those mistakes is one of the most important things in doing business,” he shared. “And also embracing those will allow you to move faster so that we could leave them behind.”
