Technology firm Lenovo introduced several artificial intelligence (AI)-powered personal computer concepts at the Mobile World Congress 2026, including modular PCs, a glasses-free 3D laptop prototype and a foldable gaming handheld.

The concepts were presented during the technology exhibition in Barcelona, where manufacturers are showcasing new devices that integrate AI directly into hardware.

Lenovo said the prototypes explore how personal computers could become more adaptive to users, with systems capable of adjusting performance, managing workloads and supporting different types of tasks through built-in AI tools.

Among the concepts introduced was a modular personal computer design that allows components to be swapped or upgraded without replacing the entire device. The approach could extend the lifespan of PCs and provide more flexibility for users who want to customize hardware depending on their needs.

The company also showed a laptop that can display three-dimensional visuals without the need for special glasses. The technology is still in development but could be used for design work, entertainment and other applications that benefit from depth-based visuals.

Another concept highlighted at the event was a foldable gaming handheld device designed to combine portable gaming with PC-level performance. Interest in handheld gaming systems has increased in recent years as manufacturers explore ways to bring more powerful gaming experiences to mobile devices.

Industry observers say major PC manufacturers are investing more heavily in AI-enabled hardware as the technology becomes increasingly integrated into everyday computing tasks.

The concepts presented by Lenovo at the Barcelona event remain experimental, and the company has not yet announced when or if the technologies will be made available as commercial products.
