Technology brand Xiaomi has launched a new lineup of flagship smartphones and smart devices in the Philippines following their global unveiling at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, with the debut of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the local market taking center stage.

The Ultra model marks the first time Xiaomi’s top-tier smartphone line is being officially introduced in the country since the company began positioning the series globally two years ago.

Priced at PHP 99,999, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra sits at the top of the company’s smartphone lineup, focusing on advanced imaging and video capabilities.

The device offers cinema-grade video features, including Dolby Vision recording and ACES Log capture at up to 4K 120fps on both the main and telephoto cameras. The system is designed to support more detailed footage, improved color accuracy, and enhanced stabilization.

Alongside the Ultra model, Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi 17, described as a compact imaging-focused flagship. The smartphone features the Light Fusion 950 image sensor, measuring 1/1.31 inches with 2.4μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel technology, capable of delivering 13.5EV high dynamic range to capture more detail in both bright and low-light conditions.

The camera system is complemented by a Leica 60mm floating telephoto lens that supports portrait photography, 5x optical-level zoom, 10cm macro shots, and 20x AI Ultra Zoom. For selfies, the phone includes a 50MP front camera with improved autofocus for both near and distant subjects.

Xiaomi said the camera system can be paired with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit, an accessory inspired by professional cameras. The add-on includes a wrist strap, a customizable two-stage shutter button, a dedicated video button, and an IP54 rating for added protection.
