Amihan season is here but the tropical heat is inescapable at times.

Brother Philippines, a champion for greater sustainability, goes beyond its popularity in printers and labeling systems to provide an eco-friendly cooling solution as it introduces its innovative Pure Drive spot cooler product that’s easy to use, low in power consumption and does not give off hot exhaust air.

Pure Drive’s PD-7100S model can deliver effective spot cooling with a temperature drop of up to -6.9°C from outside air to the point of use, making it ideal for focused cooling in tight spaces, hot open areas, and crowded facilities. It is best utilized in spaces such as manufacturing facilities and warehouses or public spaces where it gets crowded like transportation hubs, school facilities, event areas and more.

The newly launched water-based spot cooler, designed to provide cooler temperatures and comfort in shared spaces in an environment-friendly way, utilizes Twin Aqua—Brother’s exclusive cooling technology. Twin Aqua combines both indirect and direct vaporization cooling tailored for the Philippines’ warm climate. Through this technology, the spot cooler delivers powerful and comfortable airflow while using gentle, water-based cooling.

Brother Pure Drive’s advanced cooling technology is considered eco-friendly as it doesn’t emit hot exhaust air, allowing the area to stay cool. With Twin Aqua, it also uses water to cool the air so it consumes less electricity and produces fewer carbon emissions. It does not use freon refrigerants—considered to be a contributor to ozone layer depletion.

Brother’s introduction of eco-friendly cooling to the Philippines is timely as the country reels from the after-effects of stronger and powerful typhoons brought about by climate change.

“As we mark the 25 years of Brother Philippines, we have certainly witnessed the highs and lows of our country, and the company is one with the Filipinos in navigating the different seasons they face. As we advocate for sustainability, Brother is committed to use resources effectively as much as possible to minimize environmental footprint from the aspects of developing, designing, manufacturing, transporting, recycling and even in infusing the latest eco-conscious technology in our products,” Glenn Hocson, President of Brother Philippines, said.

“We are proud to introduce Pure Drive to the Philippines as it is a response to the current needs of the market and it is also a product that embodies our commitment to innovation, sustainability and everyday life. Pure Drive is a cooling solution but it is also a step towards responsible production and consumption as well as climate action,” Hocson continued.

Brother Philippines is a company on a mission to not just provide high-quality printers and technology solutions but also to do so with a sustainable future in mind. The company’s Green Project program offers a comprehensive, multifaceted approach of initiatives designed to minimize environmental impact at every stage of operation including eco-conscious product development, recycling ink bottles, promoting responsible recycling and implementing the best environmental practices and CSR programs such as coastal cleanup, tree planting initiatives and more.

The launch of Pure Drive spot cooler aligns with Brother’s commitment to sustainability and its support to the UN SDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals), particularly SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
