Schneider Electric marked 30 years in the Philippines with Innovation Day 2025 with an event held on May 20 at Shangri-La The Fort, Taguig. With the theme “Innovate for Impact”, the company spotlighted its mission to help the country meet its net-zero targets through smart energy solutions and advanced automation.
At the heart of Schneider Electric’s strategy is integrating digital tools with sustainable practices across critical sectors. Ireen Go-Catane, Schneider Electric Philippines’ Country President said that for the last three decades, “Schneider Electric in the Philippines has become a global hub for innovation and supply. Innovation Day Philippines 2025 marks this progress and showcases how digital, sustainable technologies can shape our energy future.”

The company has helped with empowering industries with real-time insights, intelligent software, and data-driven decisions for driving decarbonization efforts, especially amid rising energy demands and AI-driven consumption. Notably, a single ChatGPT query consumes 10 times more energy than a typical Google search.
The event was attended by top government and industry leaders to discuss energy sector challenges, effects of climate change, green financing, and regulatory frameworks. Panels and learning sessions featured topics such as AI-powered cooling systems, sustainable data centers, energy management, AI cybersecurity solutions, and the digitalization journey in power generation.

One of the main highlights of the event was the Schneider Electric Innovation Hub that showcased the company’s smart solutions for data centers and buildings along with hardware used for power and grid requirements. These industrial electrical equipment included Building Management System (BMS) panels, Motor Control Center (MCC) panels, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) panels, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) that were the size of very large refrigerators. Also on display was Schneider Electric’s EVlink charging solution for electric vehicles that can be used in homes, condos, parking lots, and buildings.

Named the world’s most sustainable company by Time and Statista in 2024 and again in 2025 by Corporate Knights, Schneider Electric is aligning its Philippine operations with its global ambition: net-zero emissions by 2050. Innovation Day was more than a celebration—it was a bold step toward reshaping the energy future of the Philippines.
