Hey fellow gamers, devs, and creators! Big news hit the PH gaming scene—Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025 just made an epic stop in Manila for its 9th International Briefing, held last April 11 at F1 Hotel Manila in Bonifacio Global City. It was part of TGS’s global outreach campaign to connect with key regions around the world, and Southeast Asia, especially the Philippines—was clearly a priority.

Hosted by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) and co-organized by Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., the Manila event gave a solid preview of what’s coming this September during TGS 2025, happening from September 25 to 28 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.

Spotlight on Indie Devs: Selected Indie 80 & SOWN

The heart of the event? TGS’s commitment to indie developers. One of the biggest highlights was the announcement of the Selected Indie 80 program, giving 80 indie game developers from around the world the chance to showcase their games for free at TGS 2025.

Yep, you read that right—free booth space, PCs and monitors, and even interpretation support so you can focus on showing off your game to the global stage. It’s a massive boost, especially for smaller studios trying to break out.

But that’s not all—eight developers from this elite list will be chosen to present during Sense of Wonder Night (SOWN), one of TGS’s most prestigious platforms. It’s a celebration of experimental and groundbreaking game concepts, and it gets streamed live as part of the official TGS program.

Whether you’re a new dev looking for your big break or a creative with something bold to share, this is the opportunity to watch—or be part of.

AI Technology Pavilion: The Future Is Now

Another exciting reveal was the debut of the brand-new AI Technology Pavilion at TGS 2025. This space will spotlight cutting-edge game dev tools, AI-driven design features, and even virtual companion technologies. It’s a deep dive into how artificial intelligence is transforming the way games are made—and played.

Expect demos, panel discussions, and plenty of jaw-dropping innovations. If you’ve ever wondered how AI is changing the gaming experience, this pavilion will give you the inside scoop.

Business Matchmaking on a Global Scale

For developers and companies, TGS 2025 is leveling up its Business Meeting platforms. During Business Days (September 26–27), the show will offer both on-site and online matchmaking services for developers, publishers, investors, and buyers from around the world.

This system helps attendees book meetings, find the right contacts, and spark new partnerships—without the hassle. It’s a fantastic way for PH-based studios and game pros to connect with big-name industry players from Japan, Europe, North America, and beyond.

Influencer Program: Content Creators, It’s Your Time

Calling all content creators, streamers, vloggers, and gaming influencers: TGS 2025 wants YOU! The “Official Influencer from Overseas” program is now open, and they’re actively encouraging applications from countries like the Philippines.

Selected influencers will receive free accommodations in Japan during the event, special access badges, entry to an exclusive lounge, and even the chance to be featured on TGS’s official platforms. It’s the perfect chance to build your brand, meet game devs, and experience the show like a VIP.

TGS 2025: Bigger, Bolder, and More Inclusive

With its growing support for indie developers, new tech-driven features like the AI Pavilion, and serious outreach to creators and communities across the globe, TGS 2025 is shaping up to be more than just an event—it’s a celebration of gaming’s future.

Whether you’re a dev, content creator, industry pro, or a hardcore fan, this year’s Tokyo Game Show is where the global gaming community comes together.
