“Until Dawn” Releases First Look Feature and Trailer

One of the innovative video games made during the height of the PlayStation 4 era is finally getting the film treatment, as Until Dawn is set to be released on the big screen very soon – and Columbia Pictures Philippines teases fans and their expectations by releasing a first look feature and the very first trailer for the Until Dawn movie!

Starring Ella Rubin, Michael Cimini, Odessa A’zion, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Camelo, Maia Mitchell, and Peter Stormare, the Until Dawn movie is directed by “Lights Out, “Shazam”, and “Shazam: Fury of the Gods” director David F. Sandberg, and is scheduled to be released in cinemas very soon. Here’s a brief synopsis of the film, as well as a first look feature on the movie with cast and crew interviews.

“Until Dawn” follows Clover and her group of friends as they search for clues regarding her sister Melanie’s disappearance. A masked killer stalks and kills them one by one, only for them to wake up and relive the nightmare once more.”

Released in August 2015 exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, the original Until Dawn video game has players controlling eight young adults as they embark on a survival horror journey to survive Blackwood Mountain and the killers that stalk them as prey. Played in a third person perspective, players explore their surroundings and solve puzzles and clues, and the choices they make determine the outcome of the playthrough with a butterfly effect system put into place that changes the flow of the story. The game became a surprising hit for the PS4, and would spawn a VR spin-off called “Until Dawn: Rush of Blood”, a prequel called “The Inpatient” and a spiritual successor game called “The Quarry”. Sony and Supermassive would also port and release the original Until Dawn for PS5 and PC on October last year.

Until Dawn will be released exclusively in PH cinemas by Columbia Pictures Philippines soon.
