On October 11 this year, PhilStar hosted The Pro Future: AI for Life Summit, which brought together industry experts, innovators, and future leaders to explore the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) across various sectors in the Philippines.

Among the attendees were key officers from AMA Education System (AMAES), Dr. Kibet Amos, Dr. Gerard Ngo, Engr. Arnel Hibo, Mr. Ervin Moran and  Ms. Joanadiane Jardin, solidifying AMA’s role as a pioneer in IT-based education. Joining them was Nathaniel Macalinao, a 3rd-year BS Cybersecurity student at AMA, representing the next generation of tech leaders shaped by AMA’s forward-thinking curriculum.

The event highlighted the immense potential of AI, demonstrating its integration across various industries, including healthcare, finance, education, and the creative arts.

For AMAES, this summit was a perfect avenue to emphasize its leadership in the integration of AI into education, particularly through its BS Artificial Intelligence program— the first of its kind in the country. This program is a prime example of AMA’s commitment to offering cutting-edge IT education. Aside from this, AMA is also the first to integrate AI in all of its programs, equipping students like Macalinao with the tools to lead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.

The summit opened with a keynote address by a renowned AI expert, Ms. Nikita Greenidge, who discussed the future implications of AI and, along with these implications, the importance of ethical AI development. Her speech set the tone for the summit, stressing the need for responsible AI deployment to ensure positive societal impact—a value that AMA upholds in providing quality and accessible education.

Throughout the morning, industry leaders shared insights on how AI is revolutionizing different fields like healthcare and education. Meanwhile, the summit’s afternoon session included an AI Expo, where attendees could witness AI-powered innovations in action, from AI chatbots and advanced data analytics platforms to AI-driven solutions for daily challenges.

For AMAES, participating in the Pro Future Summit is part of its broader mission to remain at the forefront of IT-based education in the Philippines. With the introduction of its BS in Artificial Intelligence program and its integration of AI across programs and disciplines, AMAES continues to demonstrate why it is the prime choice for students aspiring to excel in a technology-driven world.

AMAES is the leading IT-based educational institution in the Philippines, offering a wide range of technology-focused programs designed to equip students with the skills needed in today’s digital world. With state-of-the-art facilities and industry partnerships, AMAES continues to set the standard for IT education in the country.
