Brad Geiser, Co-founder of GeiserMaclang, shared best practices for crafting compelling award submissions. He covered a wide range of topics, including effective storytelling, demonstrating the impact of technology on business and society, and strategically positioning innovations to enhance the chances of winning awards.
Participants also engaged in an interactive Question and Answer session, which provided them with the opportunity to ask questions and gain clarity on the award submission process.
When asked about the importance of a company’s profitability in winning an award, Geiser explained, “You don’t necessarily have to show profitability. The most important thing to show is the impact you have on society. How have you made things better for everybody? Profitability is important but it’s not the only factor that you should be considering. “
Michael Gallagher, Executive Chairman of the Stevie Awards, emphasized, “The quality of the stories is important. You’re making a big impact among your customers and employees. People understand that profitability will come later, but the quality of your story is very important.”
