Introducing Pay With Grab and Instant Deals – Grab’s New Innovations to Meet the Growing Needs of its Consumers and Merchant-Partners

To meet the ever-growing needs of its customer base and merchant-partners, particularly MSMEs, Grab Philippines has recently introduced new online–to-offline solutions called “Pay With Grab” and “Instant Deals.”

These innovations were introduced during the GrabNext 2024 conference alongside the brand’s omnicommerce strategy. Both aim to bridge the gap between the physical and digital, enriching the overall experience.

Enhancing the Dine-in Experience

Grab Philippines Director for Deliveries Greg Camacho shares the key insights from the recent Grab Food & Grocery Trends Report

Through Pay With Grab and Instant Deals, Grab Philippines seeks to capitalize on the current shifts in its consumers’ dine-in habits. With experiences of the pandemic and lockdown becoming distant memories, there is no denying the resurgence of dine-in culture.

However, eating out and visiting restaurants have not been the same. Customers now want more from their experiences, and this is exactly what Grab is hoping to tap into.

“The essence of dining out has evolved, blending traditional charm with digital sophistication. At Grab, we recognize that the successful revival of our local food merchants hinges not just on attracting customers back to their favorite tables, but on sustaining the digital connectivity that became a lifeline during the pandemic,” says Grab Philippines Director for Deliveries Greg Camacho.

Pay With Grab is a streamlined payment solution that will allow diners to pay via the Grab app, integrating the convenience of digital payments with the pleasure of dine-in experiences. It addresses the growing consumer preference for contactless transactions while enhancing operational efficiency for restaurants.

Instant Deals aims to enable restaurants to offer customizable and timely promotions that attract new and returning customers. These deals can be adjusted in real-time to reflect dining trends, special events, or even weather conditions, ensuring maximum customer engagement and satisfaction.

How Grab will Support MSMEs

Now, how will Grab support its merchant-partners amidst the evolving purchasing patterns of its customer base? Its various omnicommerce enhancements will focus on seamlessly integrating digital solutions with physical experiences.

1. Unified Management Platform: A sophisticated, easy-to-use platform that allows MSMEs to manage dine-in, pickup, and delivery services comprehensively. This tool supports inventory management, order tracking, and customer relationship management all in one Place.

2. Advanced Analytics: Providing MSMEs with data-driven insights to better understand customer preferences, peak times, and sales patterns, which inform strategic decisions like menu adjustments and promotional offers.

3. Financial Flexibility: Enhanced access to GrabFin Loans and faster settlement times improve liquidity for MSMEs, enabling them to invest in growth opportunities and stabilize operations in a fluctuating market.

4. Marketing Tools: The improved Marketing Manager tool empowers MSMEs to efficiently create and deploy marketing campaigns that resonate with both digital and dine-in customers, enhancing reach and reinforcing customer loyalty.

“Our aim is to equip MSMEs with innovative tools that cater to this new hybrid consumer behavior, ensuring that every interaction—whether in-person or online—translates into lasting relationships and growth opportunities. By intertwining digital efficiency with the authentic dining experience, we are setting a new standard for what it means to dine in the digital age,” adds Camacho.

Through Pay with Grab, Instant Deals, and its omnicommerce enhancements, not only is Grab making the experiences of its consumers much better, but it is also providing ways to boost the growth of its merchant partners in the ever-changing market landscape.
