In a declaration of commitment to the Philippines’ journey towards modernization, Samsung recently had its first-ever business expo in the Philippines on March 21, 2024 at the Grand Marriott Ballroom, Pasay City.
Under the banner of “Innovations That Power Solutions”, Samsung unveiled cutting-edge technologies that promise to further innovate businesses, households, and institutions across the nation. From revolutionizing the way we work, to enhancing everyday living experiences, Samsung’s expo showcased what the near-future of work and home can achieve.
Mr. Min Su Chu, President of Samsung Electronics Philippines (SEPCO), emphasized the timeliness of this conference, echoing sentiments of exponential growth in the country. With the Philippine economy having an outstanding performance in 2023, and the Asian Development Bank forecasting a 6.2% growth for 2024, Samsung aims to be a linchpin that spearheads this growth.

“This is our concrete commitment to support the nation-building agenda of strengthening government agencies and various business sectors to continue the country’s momentum of growth,” Chu said.
“We are delivering powerful, connected experiences by our ecosystem of products to help you do more and make the lives of your customers easier and better,” he added.
In a keynote address, the Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Ivan John Uy, hailed Samsung’s expo as a beacon of hope, heralding an era of unparalleled opportunity for the Filipino people.

With digital innovation poised to attract substantial investments and unlock new avenues of employment, Secretary Uy articulated a vision of synergy between Korea and the Philippines, culminating in a tapestry of innovation woven for the collective benefit of all.
“Let us continue to envision a convergence of Korean precision with a Filipino passion that will deliver innovation for the benefit of the Filipino people,” Uy said.
During a panel discussion about strategic digital transformation, Engr. Joshua Bingcang, President of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), emphasized their primary focus on Clark.
“We have this vision of building the first smart city in the country,” he shares.
Also in attendance at the expo were Department of Science and Technology Undersecretary Maridon O. Sahagun and Roxas City Mayor Ronnie T. Dadivas.
Central to the expo’s attraction was Samsung’s Digital City, a glimpse of the near future, showcasing the latest advancements in mobile technology and how it reimagines digital lives with IoT devices at home and in other settings such as schools and businesses.

With this business expo, Samsung is preparing private and public institutions in the Philippines for what lies ahead, with people and their relationships at the center of a technological future.
