WATCH: Samsung Galaxy S10 Ultra is comically huge, like a laptop without a keyboard

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is comically huge. Just so you know, the screen is bigger than my 14” laptop but still a tad lighter.

The S10 Ultra is a quick refresh from last season’s tablet, the S9. In true Samsung fashion, we don’t see a significant hardware upgrade from the previous generation devices. This goes across the board with the Fold and Flip series, the flagship S23 and S24 series, and now with the high end tablets.

So what’s with this thing? The S10 Ultra is Samsung’s top of the line Android tablet. Did we forget to say it’s really big?

The S10 Ultra comes with the suite of Magic AI features that we loved in all the flagship series. This maximizes the Samsung notes and browser apps to include features like generative AI with doodle to art, translation and summarization features, and Interpreter mode for offline translating of various languages.

Under the hood is a Dimensity 9300 series chipset. It’s interesting to note that the new flagship smartphones from Samsung come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips while they gave the tablet business to MediaTek. This new development is that this is actually a precursor of sorts to what MediaTek is going to reveal next year: the entry into the ARM vs x86 race. This tablet is almost like a full-fledged laptop so we may be seeing MediaTek compete in the Windows space next year as rumor has it.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 comes in two variants, the S10+ that starts at P68,990 and the S10 Ultra that starts at P116,990.
