League of Legends: Wild Rift is celebrating its sixth anniversary with one of its biggest updates so far, giving players new heroes, better gameplay, and the return of some classic League of Legends features.
The celebration started with Patch 7.2 on July 6 and will continue throughout August. Riot Games said many of the changes came from player feedback and are meant to make matches more balanced and enjoyable for everyone.
One of the biggest updates changes how Enchantments work. Instead of being attached to boots, players can now use them as separate items, giving them more choices during matches. Riot also improved ranked games, comeback mechanics, and other systems to make matches fairer.
The update also adds more content for players. Norra and Yunara have joined the game’s growing list of heroes, while Cho’Gath arrives on Aug. 7. Ahri also gets a visual makeover, and new skin collections such as Weather Deity, Summer Party, and Crystal Rose give players more ways to customize their favorite characters.
Longtime League fans can also relive older gameplay through the Classic Moment event, which brings back familiar abilities, items, and game modes, including AAA ARAM Classic starting Aug. 7.
Players can also link their League of Legends and Wild Rift accounts through Echoes on the Rift to unlock rewards and see highlights from their time in both games.
In the Philippines, fans can watch the updates in action during Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Split 2, where the country’s top teams compete using the latest game changes. Riot will also stream exhibition matches featuring popular creators, including V33Wise (Oh My V33nus and Wise Gaming), Leomiho, Vanny Bear, and Kapitan Pugo.
