Hobbies aren’t just something you keep to yourself, but something that’s more fun and meaningful when you share them with others. While hobby conventions like Toy Con, Cosmania, and even Super Manila Comic Con are normally held in the metro, there are times when the fun makes its way around the country, like the North Hobby Expo, which is celebrated in Baguio.
Currently in its 6th year, the biggest hobby event in the north is happening this October 3–5, 2025, at the Baguio Country Club. With tickets priced at 300 pesos per day and discounted rates for kids 9 years old and below (150 pesos for ages 4–9 and free for 3 and below), what’s in store for guests coming from Baguio and the rest of the Philippines?
Making a run for it!
On the last day of the event, join other con-goers in the North Hobby Run! With three distances (3K, 6K, and 12K) not only do you get to enjoy the breathtaking scenery that Baguio has to offer, you also get to experience the 3rd day of the expo a bit earlier, with gates opening at 8 AM. Other inclusions for joining the fun run are a race t-shirt, snacks, a finisher medal, a raffle entry, and entrance to the 3rd day of the event.
Northern Clash 4
In for some competition but not really into the outdoors? Check out some of the tournaments happening during the event, with tabletop and hobby games ranging from Magic: The Gathering to Flesh and Blood, One Piece, and this year’s rising star, Beyblades!
Northern Clash 4, an event within the North Hobby Expo, is a collaborative effort between Baguio local game store (LGS) The Game Armory and ToyCon mainstay Mana Underground. With a variety of formats and prizes, there’s sure to be an event that suits your fancy. Another highlight at gatherings like this is that vendors will surely carry products for interested guests. And what better way to enjoy some tabletop games than to crack open some packs, kick back, and soak in the competition all around?

Fun for all ages
While competition may not be for everyone, there’s fun for the whole family to enjoy, with various activities happening simultaneously, including a cosplay competition on the 3rd and final day of the event. Judges for this event include cosplayers Myrtle Sarrosa, Loki Heart, and Jonama Baladad. Special guest cosplayers have also been announced: Khay TRC, Zhia Crescia, Shane Shen, Tinapay, Kach Prase, Nyaaawmeeeow, Gyoza Chan, Sunny Rose Schnee
Being powered by ToyCon also shows a lot of promise, with more than a hundred confirmed merchants and booths showcasing toys, art, and more.
With less than a week to go, the 6th North Hobby Expo is shaping up to be a fun weekend all around and whether you attend as a hobby enthusiast or someone just looking for a quick holiday, Baguio is the place to be.
