The showcase is meant to demo innovations in retail, hospitality, education and home.
Last September, Samsung unveiled its 2025 B2B signage solutions and Smart Home showcase at the IFA Expo in Berlin. I was able to take a short peek at the signage solutions but due to the two hour lines for the Smart Home demo, I had to forego that part of the tour due to time constraints.
Until this week. Samsung Philippines has just unveiled its Business Experience Studio and SmartThings Home Showroom at its HQ at the Science Hub Tower, Mckinley Hill.
The Business Experience Studio was divided into 5 zones: the concierge zone that showcased Samsung’s digital concierge and smart check-in ecosystem, the retail zone that showcased digital signages in epaper as well as their integrated POS, the enterprise zone that showcased Samsung Knox devices and IT centralized IT department controls, the facilities management zone that showed a central terminal to facilitate building administration, and the school zone that showcased smart learning tools such as Samsung TV’s integrated with Galaxy Tab devices and AI.

At the SmartThings Home Showroom, we were treated to the concept of a Samsung-powered living room and kitchen with smart appliances and Samsung devices integrated into your daily life. From being able to view the insides of your Samsung smart refrigerator without opening the door (it has a camera inside!), to control your robot vacuum, TV, sound system with your Galaxy devices, it’s essentially a statement that the Samsung ecosystem is robust and extends far beyond their phones and tablets.
Samsung has already inked several long-standing partnerships with the private and public sector. One such deal is with the DSWD, making use of the rugged Samsung devices for monitoring 4P’s across the country. We have a feature of these devices at the previous VST-ECS CXO Summit.

Personally, I was floored with the bedroom demo that doubled as both hotel and home setups. It was the first time for me to see The Frame, a specialized Samsung Smart TV that is powered by a matte QLED screen, meaning it doesn’t reflect glare and protects the screen from burn-in. The overall result is I had thought the TV was a still painting until the screen moved using your Samsung phone as a remote. On idle, the TV doesn’t turn off but displays a random work of art.

The Samsung SmartThings Home Showroom and the Business Experience Studio can be booked by potential clients who want to experience Samsung’s business and consumer ecosystem for themselves.
