Brother Philippines has released its newest sublimation printer, the SP1 for home and business users. In a printing and content creation workshop event held at the Brother Philippines headquarters in Marajo Towers BGC, company officials led by Brother Philippines president Glenn Hocson, launched the company’s newest printer.

As Brother’s first sublimation printer to be available in the market, the printer is designed to be easy to use and reliable while delivering professional-quality prints for use in various customized products such as shirts, bags, drinkware, and other merch items. Used in conjunction with a heat press or mug press machine that’s available separately, anyone from creative home users to budding entrepreneurs can create full-color prints on sublimation paper which can be transferred to various products..

At the printing workshop, members of the media and influencers were given hands-on experience of the Brother SP1 Sublimation Printer by printing their own designs that were then transferred to a sample shirt, bag, and an insulated metal mug using a heat press. To start printing, users downloaded the free Brother Artspira app where they can process their designs. The app then connected to the SP1 via WiFi to print the design.

The SP1 can print on A4, legal, and letter size sublimation paper at the speed of four pages per minute. It can connect via WLAN, USB or ethernet. Maximum print resolution is 1200 x 2400 dpi with 3mm print margins. Apart from the Artspira app, the printer is also compatible using designs from software such as Adobe Illustrator. The printer also has a 2.7-inch LCD display.

The Brother SP1 Sublimation Printer will be available starting this December at Brother concept stores, authorized Brother dealers, and Octagon Computer Superstores. It retails for Php 28,995. C, M, Y, and K ink cartridges are also available for Php 995 each.
