    International IT-BPM SUMMIT 2024 Now Ongoing

    The International IT-Business Process Management (IT-BPM) Summit 2024 is one of the biggest events in the IT-BPM industry in the Philippines. Now on its 16th iteration, this year also coincides with the 20th year of the Philippine IT-BPM industry. Happening from October 2-3 at Okada Manila, the event is also a gathering of the top IT-BPM companies and executives. The event is also marked by various keynotes from industry leaders and experts. 

    In his opening keynote, well-known IT-BPM executive Jack Madrid who is the President and CEO of the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) addressed important issues currently faced by the industry.

    Madrid talked about the challenges such as the impact of AI, intense global competition from other countries, competitiveness in terms of local operational costs, government support for businesses, and cybersecurity risks.

    One of the highlights of his keynote was the positive growth projections for the country such as an expected revenue of $38 billion and workforce headcount of 1.82 million. He also mentioned that up to 67% of Philippine IT-BPM organizations are actively implementing AI. According to him, AI’s impact is mostly positive with companies reporting in increase in productivity, operational efficiency, service quality, and revenue generation.

    Among IT-BPMs, AI technologies are already being applied implemented in the following areas such as customer support, data entry and processing, quality assurance, business services, workforce management, and sales and marketing.

    Other keynotes in the event tackled topics such as workforce readiness and competitiveness, cyber resilience, impact of generative AI, and government support for the industry.
