During 917 GDay, Globe brought this to life by helping senior citizens build their digital confidence while giving customers more ways to enjoy relevant rewards and experiences through GlobeOne.
Through its Senior Digizen program, Globe has reached more than 1,000 seniors in Makati and Taguig, helping them build practical skills and confidence to navigate an increasingly digital world. Globe employee volunteers worked closely with participants, guiding them through everyday platforms such as GlobeOne, GCash, eGovPH, and Google Maps, while teaching them how to recognize scams and stay safe online.
“Digital inclusion goes beyond access. We have to make sure people have the skills and confidence to use technology safely and meaningfully,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer at Globe. “For our seniors, being able to navigate an app, access services, or recognize a scam can make a real difference in how independently and confidently they participate in the digital world.
”Globe is also using technology to make the customer experience more personal and rewarding through GlobeOne. During 917 GDay, the app became a key destination for Love Overload, giving customers access to rewards and experiences built around Just For You.
Customers could discover their GDay Gift, play games and complete missions through Goken Zone, and convert Rewards points into entries for G Raffle Rush. Prizes ranged from food, shopping, entertainment, household essentials, and travel experiences to major rewards such as a car and homes, giving customers more choices based on what they value and enjoy.
