Riot Games Philippines has extended registration for Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2026 until June 2, giving more League of Legends: Wild Rift players a chance to compete for a ₱1 million prize pool and a spot in an international tournament in South Korea.
The grassroots tournament, now in its third season, serves as the country’s premier competition for Wild Rift players. Riot Games said the extension aims to allow more teams from across the Philippines to join before the competition begins.
The tournament champions will receive ₱500,000, while second- and third-place teams will take home ₱250,000 and ₱125,000, respectively. Beyond the cash prizes, the top players will earn the opportunity to represent the Philippines at SMASH 2026, Riot Games’ cross-regional Wild Rift community event set for November in South Korea.
Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open is designed to strengthen the local Wild Rift community by providing a pathway for amateur and grassroots players to compete on a bigger stage.
“With the strong return of Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open this year, we remain committed to lowering the barriers to entry for aspiring grassroots communities to compete on an international level,” said Lara Antonio, lead for Regional Community, Wild Rift – APAC. “And beyond this capstone tournament, we’re building an even more inclusive and engaging local Wild Rift ecosystem to champion sustained connection and shared experiences among our Pinoy Wild Rift players and fans.”
Split 1 of the tournament runs from June 4 to July 12. Teams will be grouped for matches scheduled throughout June and July, with the top performers advancing to playoff qualifiers. The strongest teams will then move on to the final community playoffs in September.
Registration for Split 2 will open from July 13 to Aug. 2, followed by qualifiers and group-stage matches throughout August. The season will culminate in the Road to SMASH playoffs from Sept. 25 to 27, where the top eight teams will battle for the chance to represent the Philippines internationally.
Riot Games Philippines also plans to hold influencer-led tournaments, creator activities, and community events alongside the competition, giving fans more opportunities to engage with the growing Wild Rift community.
