Consumer electronics company LG Electronics Philippines has launched a nationwide search for the oldest still-working residential air conditioner made by the brand, inviting Filipino households to share stories of units that have continued to run after many years of use.
Called the LG Oldest Air Conditioner Hunt Promo, the campaign runs from Jan. 22 to March 31, 2026. The initiative encourages owners of long-running LG air conditioners to document their units and show how they continue to provide cooling comfort.
The promo is open to Philippine residents aged 18 and above who own a residential LG air conditioner that remains fully operational. The unit must have a legible serial or model number so its age can be verified.
LG Philippines said the search aims to highlight the durability of its products while giving long-time customers a chance to share their experiences with the brand.
Employees of LG Philippines, dealer partners, and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity are not allowed to participate.
To join, participants must follow LG Philippines on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok. They are also required to create a video showing the air conditioner, its serial or model number, and proof that the unit is still working.
The video must be uploaded as a public post using the hashtag #LGairconSearch while tagging the official LG Philippines account. Participants must also register through the company’s promo website and submit their personal details along with the video and its link.
Entries will be judged based on the age of the unit (30%), functionality (25%), video content (35%), and video quality (10%). The video should include the participant’s story and explain why the LG air conditioner represents “the cool that lasts.”
Three winners will receive new LG split-type air conditioners. The first prize is a 1.5 horsepower unit valued at ₱65,788, while the second and third prizes are 1 horsepower models worth ₱61,588 and ₱53,188, respectively.
