HUAWEI Philippines will release its newest foldable phone, the HUAWEI Mate X7, on Feb. 19, 2026.

The Huawei Mate X7 has a slim body wrapped in vegan leather, available in Nebula Red and Black. Its outer screen is protected by strong Crystal Armour glass, and the inner screen uses a three-layer structure that the company said can handle repeated folding. The hinge and aluminum frame make the phone more resistant to drops, and it has water and dust protection, even surviving up to two meters of water for 30 minutes based on HUAWEI’s tests.

Camera features are also upgraded. The Mate X7 includes a True-to-Colour Camera for accurate colors, a 50MP HDR Camera for clear photos in any lighting, and a 50MP Telephoto Macro Camera for close-ups or zoomed-in shots.

The phone has a 6.49-inch outer screen and an 8-inch inner display. Users can run three apps at once with Live Multitask, and access popular apps through HUAWEI AppGallery, including GCash, BPI, BDO, Facebook, YouTube, and even Angkas. A 5,600mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging keeps the phone powered through the day.

The HUAWEI Mate X7 is designed to combine foldable flexibility, durability, and camera performance in a phone built for everyday use.

The Mate X7 builds on years of HUAWEI’s foldable technology. The first Mate X in 2019 had an 8-inch screen that folded outward. Later models improved folding mechanisms, screen quality, and durability. The Mate X2 folded inward, the Mate X3 had a slimmer design and smoother hinge, and the P50 Pocket introduced a compact flip-style phone. In 2024, the Mate XT became the world’s first tri-fold phone, while the Pura X explored a wide-folding design.
