The yearly Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has always been a place for big promises about what technology might become. Each year, companies arrive with smarter devices and bold predictions about the future of daily life.
At Samsung’s The First Look event at CES 2026, held ahead of the show’s official opening, “Your Companion to AI Living” focused on how artificial intelligence is already settling into everyday routines without demanding attention.
PhilSTAR Tech got the chance to join the grand unveiling with an exclusive exhibition at Wynn Las Vegas on January 7, and here are a few things that showcased a glimpse of a more connected way of living.
TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience(DX) Division
- A 130-inch micro RGB television that feels closer to an installation than a TV
Aside from that enormous screen, Samsung’s micro RGB display uses individual red, green, and blue light sources, creating images that feel unusually precise even at that scale.
- A TV interface that behaves like a bestie
Samsung’s Vision AI companion sits inside its latest TVs, offering suggestions that extend beyond what to watch, including food, music, and mood-based recommendations without turning to ChatGPT or Letterboxd.
- A portable screen designed to move around the house
Called The Movingstyle, the display is built to travel from room to room. In demonstrations, it followed users through kitchens and living spaces, offering information where it was needed rather than anchoring it to one wall.
- Laundry and clothing care that removes extra steps
A combined washer-dryer eliminates the need to transfer loads, while a steam-based clothing system smooths wrinkles automatically.
- Speakers that look intentionally understated
The new Music Studio WiFi speakers with one button fit right into your creative space, mimicking minimal art pieces and the vibe you’re going for.
- A robot vacuum that sees spills, not just dust
Samsung’s latest robot vacuum recognizes liquids and navigates around them, while also doubling as a basic home-monitoring device when you’re away (your pets will definitely hate this little spy though).
- The Frame with an artsier upgrade
The Pro version of the famed television that doubles as wall art now offers more flexible installation options and improved handling of reflections, making it easier to blend into different spaces.
- An AI ‘security guard’?
Home cameras and connected appliances use AI to notify users of unusual activity, including unfamiliar people approaching the home.
- The future of Micro LED with OLED clarity Samsung LED’s brightness enhances transparency by creating larger open areas on each pixel and increasing light transmission to enhance visibility of objects behind it
- A longer-term focus on proactive health
Samsung also outlined how connected devices could help detect changes in sleep, movement, and behavior, shifting health support from reactive to preventative.
