SN Aboitiz Power Group (SNAP) reported a 451-percent return on investment (ROI) after deploying a low-code platform from Kissflow to digitize its internal workflows, according to an independent study conducted by research firm Nucleus.

The study found that the renewable energy firm recovered its investment in just 2.8 months after rolling out Kissflow to unify and digitize processes across business units.

SNAP, a joint venture of Aboitiz Renewables Inc. and Norway’s Scatec, operates several hydroelectric power plants in Benguet and Isabela. By replacing legacy systems with more flexible applications, SNAP was able to save around $61,000 annually in infrastructure and support costs.

The company developed more than 114 custom applications through the platform, which also enabled 19 employees to be trained as “citizen developers,” creating in-house apps without relying heavily on IT teams.

“The good thing about Kissflow, it’s low code,” SNAP Chief Information Officer Maria Theresa “Mitch” Cabigon said during the press briefing held yesterday, Oct. 2, at the Manila House Private Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Cabigon added, “So, it’s that like a drop, drag and drop thing and just some coding thing that we, it doesn’t require you to be a software developer, a software developer or IT. So, it’s really built for not technical people.

Operational efficiency improved by an estimated five to 10 percent across human resources and operations management, Nucleus said.

Moreover, the chief information officer said the company’s digital shift helped unify data and simplify workflows, eliminating operational bottlenecks.

The company earlier relied on multiple disconnected systems that exposed it to inefficiencies and security risks.

“Before, we were the ones developing the system. So these are islands of system and it’s so hard to secure them. Like you have to be able to invest and make sure it’s up to date in terms of patches and the like. And it’s no longer sustainable,” Cabigon said.

Rakesh Nandakumar, the Associate Vice President for Southeast Asia at Kissflow, shared that they are not just a technology vendor but a “co-ideator” of the entire program.

“A partner sees through and tells these are challenges which we can together solve. A technology provider says, I have a platform, this is already proven. So it’s on you to prove it in more time in your organization,” Nandakumar said.

SNAP was recently recognized with the ROI Award 2025 by Nucleus Research, which highlights organizations that deliver measurable returns through technology adoption.

On the other hand, Kissflow, which was founded in 2004, provides both no-code and low-code capabilities to enterprises and counts over 10,000 customers globally, including Pepsi, Danone and Motorola Solutions.
