Google has announced a suite of AI-powered marketing tools at a Google Marketing Live SEA event held online last July 9. The new tools are set to enhance digital marketing and enable professionals and brands to effectively connect with customers in the region.

When equipped with Google’s intelligent tools, digital marketers can now anticipate market trends rather than simply respond to them. At the online event held at the company’s Singapore office, Google revealed that users have gone beyond search via keywords and now use voice, images, and video. Google’s AI search tools like Google Lens, Circle to Search, AI Overviews, and AI mode lets users find the most relevant information faster. Just this year, there are over 100 billion searches using Google Lens.

Google has also shared that YouTube continues to reach more users daily than other video platforms in the region. The most trusted creators are on YouTube, especially among Gen Z. The business case for YouTube is compelling. Across Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, YouTube delivers more than double the return on investment of linear TV, with some markets like Indonesia showing returns up to 4.1 times higher. It also consistently outperforms other social platforms like TikTok and Meta, delivering 1.2 to 1.6 times better ROI across the region.

Sapna Chadha, Vice President of Google Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier said: “For years, we’ve been at the forefront of AI-driven advertising. As consumer journeys become more complex—and resources more limited—we’re equipping marketers with our most advanced models yet: more intelligent, more agentic, and more personalized. That means faster creative, wider reach, sharper insights, and better results.” She also added that the AI tools span the entire marketing journey from asset creation to brand discovery and more.

Google’s new AI arsenal includes several game-changing tools. Asset Studio serves as a centralized workspace using generative AI to create advanced image and video assets. AI Max for Search understands websites and ads and automatically generates tailored headlines and ensures the relevant ad appears. AI Mode is a powerful AI search with advanced reasoning and the ability to engage users with follow-up questions.

Ads in AI Overviews in Search can drive up to 10% growth in applicable query types resulting in increased volume of commercial queries. YouTube Creator Partnerships Hub is a new Google Ads tool that simplifies discovering and collaborating with YouTube creators. And finally, agentic AI capabilities for Google Ads and Analytics which can automatically generate, optimize, and maintain campaigns by learning from landing pages and performance data, providing real-time keyword suggestions and creative optimization.
