Telecommunications and digital services provider PLDT Enterprise is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) efforts internally with the rollout of Ellie, a digital assistant which aims to improve productivity, collaboration, and customer responsiveness across the organization.
Short for Enablement and Intelligence Engine, Ellie is integrated into Microsoft Teams, allowing employees to quickly access product information, sales materials, and a centralized, searchable knowledge base within their daily workflow.
The platform enables teams to retrieve product bulletins across PLDT Enterprise’s portfolio, covering fixed, wireless, and information and communications technology (ICT) solutions. It also provides ready-to-use resources such as sales decks and client proposals, helping employees respond faster to customer requirements.
“Championing AI within our own workplace allows us to lead by example as we transform into a TechCo, demonstrating how AI can enhance productivity and deliver more responsive outcomes for our customers,” said Blums Pineda, Blums Pineda, SVP and head of Enterprise Business Group and lead of PLDT Group AI Business.
By consolidating key insights into a single interface, Ellie is designed to support faster decision-making and more consistent client engagement, while aligning teams around updated and accurate information.
“Ellie reflects how we are approaching AI as a practical tool for everyday work, not just a future concept, but something our teams can use now to work smarter and respond more effectively to client needs,” said Nico AlcosebaNico Alcoseba, FVP and head of Enterprise Product Management and Innovations at PLDT Enterprise.
PLDT Enterprise aims to embed AI into core operations, as the company shifts toward becoming a technology-driven organization while improving service delivery and internal efficiency.
