ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially launched the ROG Phone 9 Series in the Philippines, bringing its latest lineup of gaming smartphones to local players. PhilSTAR Tech attended the launch event on March 13 at Astbury Makati, where ASUS ROG showcased the ROG Phone 9 FE and ROG Phone 9 Pro, both designed to elevate the mobile gaming experience.

What’s New in the ROG Phone 9 Series?

Staying true to its gaming roots, the ROG Phone 9 Series packs powerful specs, including the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor for the FE model and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for the Pro model. These phones feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with up to 185Hz refresh rate, ensuring ultra-smooth gameplay.

One of the standout features this year is the AniMe Vision display, exclusive to the ROG Phone 9 Pro. With 648 programmable mini-LEDs, users can personalize their phone’s look with custom animations. ASUS ROG also introduced a set of AI-driven gaming features, like X Capture 2.0, which auto-records key in-game moments, and AI Grabber 2.0, which helps with in-game text recognition and even translation.

The ROG Phone 9 Series still embraces the AirTrigger touch system, giving mobile gamers more precise controls. ASUS also highlighted its advanced cooling solutions, including the AeroActive Cooler X Pro and the ROG Chill Case, which improve heat dissipation for longer gaming sessions.

    Pricing and Availability

The ROG Phone 9 FE is priced at ₱44,995, with an early bird promo price of ₱39,995, which includes a free ROG Chill Case and ROG Antibacterial Glass Screen Protector. Meanwhile, the ROG Phone 9 Pro is available starting at ₱62,995.

Both models are now available at ASUS, ROG, and multibrand stores nationwide. ASUS is also offering flexible payment options, including 0% interest installment plans via Home Credit.

For mobile gamers looking for top-tier performance with a futuristic design, the ROG Phone 9 Series is shaping up to be an exciting choice.
