HP Imagine 2024, held on September 24 in Palo Alto, California, was all about redefining work with AI — and PhilSTAR Tech was there to soak it all in!

HP put on quite a show, giving us a peek at their plans to take work to the next level.

This year, HP introduced a lineup of groundbreaking products and technologies designed to make our workspaces smarter, our workflows smoother, and our creative processes more intuitive.

From AI-driven laptops and advanced video conferencing solutions to smarter printing experiences, HP’s latest innovations focus on enhancing productivity, security, and sustainability.

Here’s a quick rundown of what went down and all the exciting announcements from HP Imagine 2024!

HP Print AI: Smarter, Seamless Printing

HP debuted its Print AI, marking it as the industry’s first AI-driven printing experience. This tool aims to make printing easier and more efficient.

“We are transforming the printing experience with HP Print AI, making it easier and more intuitive. Introducing AI solutions across our portfolio will simplify printing, ignite creativity, and accelerate collaboration – all while ensuring customer data is protected and kept private.” said Tuan Tran, HP President of Imaging, Printing, and Solutions

The standout feature, “Perfect Output”, cleans up web prints by removing ads and resizing images, so you get exactly what you want on paper—no fuss and no paper wastage.

HP also rolled out the HP Scan AI Enhanced, which simplifies document processing by extracting key info directly from scans, making it a breeze for teams who handle tons of paperwork.

If you’re in construction or design, HP Build Workspace adds AI to streamline collaboration on site reports and designs.

HP Personal Systems: Powerful AI-Powered Devices

HP’s new AI-driven laptops and PCs were also a major highlight.

The OmniBook Ultra Flip is HP’s first 2-in-1 AI PC, perfect for freelancers and creatives who need flexibility on the go.

It can switch between laptop, tablet, and tent modes and features a 3K OLED display for stunning visuals. This device is loaded with up to 20 hours of battery life and is built sustainably, with recycled metals and plastics.

For those in need of a serious powerhouse, the EliteBook X brings next-gen AI capabilities to the business world.

This machine boasts up to 55 TOPS of NPU performance, allowing it to handle intense workflows with ease.

It’s also packed with security features, including quantum hack protection, and uses AI to keep your screen secure by detecting when someone’s peeking over your shoulder.

HP Z by HP Boost: Revolutionizing AI Workstations

HP also introduced Z by HP Boost, a workstation solution that maximizes GPU utilization, making it easier for data scientists and AI developers to access on-demand performance without relying on cloud solutions.

“Z by HP Boost solves for scarcity by maximizing GPU utilization to deliver secure, scalable, and on-demand performance to meet rising AI demands, enhance productivity, and accelerate development.” said Alex Cho, President of Personal Systems at HP Inc.

This makes AI workloads more efficient and keeps costs down by using shared GPU resources within a company, allowing for faster development of AI models and research.

HP’s Poly Studio & Video Conferencing Enhancements

HP expanded its Poly Studio line of video conferencing equipment to make remote work more effective.

They introduced the Poly Studio X32 and X72 video bars, as well as the Poly Studio V32 and V72, which are all AI-enabled and designed for various room sizes.

The latest Poly VideoOS 4.4 software includes advanced noise filtering and AI capabilities, like setting smart camera boundaries, to ensure participants are clearly captured in meetings.

HP’s partnership with Google on Project Starline is also bringing 3D imaging tech to create life-like virtual meetings. This is set to roll out in 2025.

HP Series 5 Pro Monitors: Optimized for Productivity

To round things out, HP launched the Series 5 Pro Monitors, designed to enhance productivity.

These monitors come in various sizes, up to 34 inches, and feature a sleek, borderless design with high refresh rates ideal for AI-assisted content creation.

They also include built-in AI noise reduction, an auto-lock feature, and a pop-up camera for better security and privacy

HP’s Work Relationship Index: AI at Work

The second HP Work Relationship Index (WRI) highlighted the growing impact of AI in the workplace.

It found that employees using AI felt happier and more fulfilled, with 73% reporting that it made their jobs easier.

AI also opened up new opportunities for people to find enjoyment at work, and HP’s AI-powered solutions aim to drive even better work-life balance and productivity
