A new mobile brand is set to revolutionize the Philippine telco landscape as mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) announced the launch of KiQ (pronounced “kick”), the Philippines’ first and only fully app-based service— and one of the first few of its kind in the world — that offers a personalized digital telco experience speaking to the Gen Z market.

At the core of KiQ’s innovation is its powerful and dynamic platform that enables users to personalize offers and unbundle services, giving them full control and flexibility over their mobile lifestyle.

Using the unique Slider Interface of the KiQ App, subscribers can choose their data allocation, choose whether to have calls and texts, and choose the length of their plan validity to match their unique passions and lifestyles. Subscribers can also choose their number.

“Filipino Gen Zs are redefining how they live, share, and stay connected. With KiQ, we’re giving them a mobile experience that puts them in full control — no wasted data, no unnecessary add-ons, just total freedom and flexibility. This is what the future of mobile looks like,” said Anastacio “Boy” R. Martirez, Smart Chief Operating Officer.

    Kickstart the KiQ lifestyle

Getting started with KiQ is simple and easy. Users must download the KiQ App on Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, purchase a KiQ eSIM for only Php99, personalize their plan, and choose their mobile number — all within minutes.

KiQ also marks Smart’s first implementation of QR-less eSIM activation, eliminating the need to scan an eSIM QR code via email. Through the KiQ app, subscribers simply click to download the eSIM and activate it in their phone’s settings.

Customers can start enjoying their personalized plan upon accomplishing the one-time eSIM registration.

    Game-changing digital telco experience

In addition to personalization, KiQ offers a prioritized network experience in high-traffic areas, enabling them to stay connected even during peak usage times— whether they’re at packed concerts, crowded malls, on campus, or in city centers. This ensures faster browsing, seamless streaming, and more reliable connections when and where it matters most to Gen Z users.

KIQ’s launch comes at a time when digital-first, self-service mobile solutions are in high demand, particularly among tech-savvy customers living on-the-go, multi-hyphenated lifestyles.

“We’re not just launching a new mobile brand, we’re revolutionizing the telco industry with a game-changing experience attuned to the next generation of mobile users. We invite Filipino Gen Zs to take control, express themselves, and embrace mobile freedom with KiQ,” said Martirez.

Kickstart your KiQ journey by downloading the KIQ App now on Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
